2nd prize in the International Competition to Develop the district of Adhamiyah (Baghdad)

Balam Consultores, in collaboration with the Iraqi office Al-Qatif Engineering Bureau and the Spanish office QA Associats, has achieved the second prize in the International Competition to revitalize the district of Adhamiyah (Baghdad, Iraq). The project was developed during six months, and was necessary to submit the next documents: masterplan, strategic actuations, evaluation of the current situation, tipologic study of the historic architecture, model scale 1:1000 of the district and model scale 1:500 of the key area. Our team has competed against other offices from Italy, England, Germany and Spain.
